Job Description
Leeds Beckett University is an inclusive, vibrant workplace with ambitious plans. Our mission is to be an excellent, accessible, and globally engaged university, contributing positively to a thriving northern economy. We know that tomorrow's challenges will not be addressed by today's thoughts, approaches, and mindsets.
We are looking for a proactive, forward-thinking, strategic HR Business Partner (CIPD level 7 or equivalent experience) who is equipped and eager to support senior organisational leaders within a fast-paced and stimulating environment. A thought leader with excellent communication skills, you thrive on making a difference. You are a strong team player with sound change management experience, with the ability and drive to influence transformational change. You establish relationships and credibility quickly and have proven experience delivering expert, pragmatic solutions to a variety of complex matters.
In addition, you possess a strong background in strategic workforce planning. You excel at anticipating future workforce needs and developing comprehensive strategies to align talent with institutional goals. Your expertise includes conducting workforce analysis, forecasting academic and administrative talent requirements, and identifying skill gaps. You are adept at creating succession plans and ensuring the institution is prepared for future growth and challenges. Your ability to integrate workforce planning with the strategic vision of the university ensures that the institution remains agile and competitive in an evolving higher educational landscape.
You will work alongside a close team of HRBPs and the wider HR team. Taking a One HR approach, together we strive for continuous review and improvement to ensure we deliver a quality HR service. You will partner with a number of senior leaders across various schools and professional services within the University on business-as-usual matters and take the HR lead on some of the University-wide strategic projects.
