Job Title: Electrical Team Lead
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: 38-39k per annum (18-19 per hour)
Hours: 7.30 - 16.00 Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 14:00 Friday
Company Overview:
My client based in the rail/rolling stock industry is a world leader in the design, manufacture and refurbishment of complex safety critical components for rail vehicles. The company designs and manufactures complete mechanical, electrical and pneumatic coupler systems including the Wedgelock Coupler in use on all London Underground trains.
Job Role:
1. Oversee the Overhaul/Assembly of cables, harnesses and other products to the customers' requirements.
2. Repair, Routine Maintenance and Overhaul of electrical assemblies used in the Rail industry.
3. Skills required in crimping, measuring, and assembling of electrical harnesses/looms.
4. Test completed assemblies to ensure functionality and reliability.
5. Record and update details of any work completed.
6. Write and implement Work instructions/Overhaul procedures.
7. Ensure work is completed and delivered on time.
8. Use of equipment including hand and power tools.
9. Ensure that all Health and Safety legislations and regulations are adhered to by the department.
10. Supervise a small team of electrical engineers/assemblers.
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in an electrical assembly role, apprentice trained/qualified is preferred but not essential.
2. Understanding of engineering drawings.
3. Experience with MK automated test unit preferred but not essential.
4. Experience working within the Rail sector is preferred but not essential.
