An excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead EC&I Commissioning Engineer has arisen with one of our clients, a world leader within many industries. This role is placed within the Nuclear industry. This role is for a 6-month contract inside IR35.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Lead Commissioning Engineer, you will provide BMS System technical and engineering team support and complete all relevant project documentation.
1. Perform highly skilled commissioning testing on instrumentation and control apparatus as per written procedure.
2. Conduct commissioning activities on control circuits, VSDs, AHUs, level control devices, flow control devices, temperature control devices, and pressure control devices.
3. Review and carry out the correct execution of commissioning procedures for assigned instrument/electrical tasks with guidance from the Project Commissioning Engineers.
4. Read, interpret, and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
5. Lead the technical and quality requirements on projects, ensuring adherence to company quality processes and procedures.
6. Identify project opportunities and variations.
7. Support the project commissioning team in identifying and managing risks and issues.
8. Assist in the development and planning of the project delivery strategy for each BMS System.
FUNCTION:
The EC&I Test Team Leader (Commissioning) is expected to undertake or manage site surveys and toolbox talks.
1. Develop test specifications and design testing methodology, site work documentation (risk assessment, method statement, site test documentation).
2. Develop O&M documentation and supervise full integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT, and installation & calibration testing if required.
3. Manage observations, variations, and reworks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* EC&I Knowledge: Demonstrate strong previous technical experience in the field of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control.
* Industry experience: Nuclear.
* Previous experience supervising a team of Electrical/Instrument technicians.
