Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of tailored learning activities for autistic students with associated difficulties, including ADHD and complex needs. The successful candidate will work across various classroom settings, providing individualised support to enhance student learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist classroom teachers and the senior leadership team in implementing educational plans.
* Understand and support the diverse developmental needs of students, including physical, intellectual, emotional, and social aspects.
* Utilise ICT effectively to aid in both classroom activities and administrative tasks.
* Provide encouragement and support to students, fostering self-esteem and motivation.
* Participate in assessing and recording students' progress, contributing to marking and feedback processes.
* Stay informed about school policies, including Health and Safety and Child Protection, and adhere to the SEN Code of Practice.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in supporting children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism, is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
