Purpose of the Job a. In this role you will have a sound understanding of the mechanical services across events and exhibitions. Specifically, this role will be focused on delivering the installation of temporary water, waste and compressed air services across all exhibitions, to enable CBRE to provide the excellent service levels. b. Working in a dynamic environment you will have excellent Health and Safety awareness and be comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers, whilst maintaining a professional approach. c. You will work closely with the CBRE Senior Team Leader, who will maintain overall responsibility for all services being delivered by CBRE. You may be required to provide cover for the Senior Team Leader and will work closely with the CBRE mechanical team and sub-contractors. Working in this team, you will also become familiar with the other areas of the Technical Events Team in preparation of the site for Events and Exhibitions. d. This role will require a flexible approach and positive attitude. Including flexible shift patterns on an 'Annualised Hours' Contract. Key Responsibilities a) You will be reliable and have excellent customer service. b) You will be able to work under pressure with challenging deadlines. c) Timely installation of mechanical services inline with event demands and to a professional standard 2. Financial a) Report on asset condition including recommending upgrades and repairs. b) Diligent use of consumable stores items to prevent waste. 3. Administration a) You will be able to ensure all tasks are documented in accordance with CBRE Managed Services procedures and policies, with a combination of paper forms and electronic software. b) Computer Literacy is essential as you will be trained to input records into site specific programs. 4. Compliance a) Ensure all works are undertaken according to CBRE Managed Services policies and procedures. 5. Health & Safety a) Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out and ensure safe working practices. b) Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required. c) Complete Hazard reporting to support CBRE and client to improve site safety 6. General a) Ensure a professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented to clients and visitors; and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted. b) Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning. 7. Skills and Experience a) NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in a Plumbing discipline b) Minimum 2 years plumbing experience c) Exhibition Experience desirable d) Excellent communication skills at all levels. e) Organised and disciplined approach to work giving careful attention to detail. f) Computer literate - Word, Excel, Outlook. Accountabilities a) Accountable to the CBRE Senior Team Leader and the Technical Events Team Supervisor
