About the role
The Innovation & Skills Directorate provides the focal point for activities that maximise the economic and social impact of the University of Sunderland. This Receptionist role will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Facilities Team and the wider directorate.
A key focus for the role will be around the front-line customer support offered to building users including events, tenants, and the wider University within Hope St Xchange and St Peter’s Gate. The position will come with support from the team in the delivery of excellent customer service.
This post is part-time working 20 hours split over 5 days covering the afternoon shift and will be based at St Peter’s Gate.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, customer and solution-focused business administrative support for the Directorate and play a key role in providing a professional front-of-house service for St. Peter’s Gate and Hope Street Xchange. Key responsibilities include successfully delivering a range of business and administrative support activities, including reception support services to ensure that the Directorate team and tenants receive an efficient, high quality, and professional service.
The candidate will need to be hardworking and a self-starter; however, will receive support from the team including the Commercial Facilities Manager.
