Director of Sales And Business Development (EMEA)
V&C Associates has been engaged to fill a newly created role for a VP of Trade Sales EMEA at one of the worlds most esteemed travel organisations. Based in London, this position will focus on driving trade sales distribution across the region. The VP will be responsible for overseeing the performance of agency sales, managing inside sales functions, and working closely with the UK marketing team to ensure maximum exposure and results.

Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage the trade sales distribution strategy across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
* Oversee the performance of regional sales managers and directors, ensuring they meet and exceed sales targets.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and stakeholders.
* Develop and implement strategies to penetrate agency sales and expand market share.
* Manage inside sales functions and sales support teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
* Liaise with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns that drive sales and brand awareness.
* Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Characteristics
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in trade sales, with a proven track record of success in the travel sector.
* Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with trade partners and stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
* Willingness to travel as required.
* London office based 4 days.
* 13-line management reports.
