We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to join our team at Pool House Equine Hospital
Come and join our friendly equine team for an interesting and varied workload. The position will include reception duties, booking in equine clients and hospital consultations/investigations, taking payments, answering phones and organising diaries, handling medications, working with vets and nurses, and support staff within the practice.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional, efficient administrator, with first-class customer service skills. Your duties/responsibilities will include:
* Answering phones and booking appointments
* Responding to queries via phone, in person, and email
* Undertaking and maintaining effective administration processes, protocols, and procedures
* Daily miscellaneous administration tasks/emails
The rota includes working Monday to Friday from 12:00pm-5:30pm with flexibility to cover other shifts, including Saturday mornings on an equal shared rota.
The salary will be up to £16,500 DOE per annum.
What we're looking for in our Receptionist/Administrator:
* Previous equine experience is essential; veterinary experience is a plus!
* Experience of working in a busy and challenging environment, with the ability to adapt to change and multi-task
* Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
* An excellent communicator with strong empathy
* Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
* A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
