Main duties of the job
As Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in expanding our Secure Mental Health Transport and Complex Care services, with a focus on Right Care, Right Person agenda. You will be responsible for driving growth within your region (Midlands) by identifying new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and developing existing client relationships.

Job responsibilities
1. Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in the secure mental health transport sector and Complex Services.
2. Proactively identify and target potential clients in the UK sector.
3. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets.
4. Connect and engage target individuals/ organisations that would benefit from Prometheus patient-centric solutions.
5. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organisations.
6. Present our services to potential clients, showcasing our commitment to safety, dignity, care and value for money.
7. Create marketing materials to customise solutions to meet client needs.
8. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and negotiate contracts.
9. Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within the UK.
10. Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to stay updated on market trends, network, and generate leads.
11. Utilise CRM software to manage leads, customer feedback, sales data, and maintain an efficient sales tracking process.
12. Provide timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts.
13. Actively participate in planning and presenting tender documents, ensuring high-quality bid writing.
14. Build intelligence and data regarding the market.
15. Stay informed about and contribute to ICB, NHS Trust and Local Authority planning strategies to identify potential development opportunities.
16. Collaborate with colleagues in Operations to ensure services align with their strategic plans.
17. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure new business opportunities are in line with their strategic objectives.
18. Be part of the On Call rota and take on the responsibilities as required by the company.

19. As a suitable candidate you will have held a previous commercial role within the healthcare sector, possibly as a Commissioner in the NHS, Local Authority or Business Development in the Independent healthcare sector. You will be highly motivated, with the ability to work in an autonomous role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at a senior level. You will also have previous experience of leading contract negotiations and managing bids and tenders within the public sector.

21. BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or relevant field and/or BS/BA in an area of Clinical Practice.
