ABOUT YOU
As the Technical Admin Specialist, you will be a data-driven individual with great attention to detail skills who is passionate about completing projects and documentations to a high standard.
Required skills and experience:
* Higher education qualification (e.g. HND/HNC), in a relevant scientific subject.
* Good knowledge or experience of chemical information is desirable in order to understand the subject matter.
* Experience working in a business environment (ideally in the chemicals / regulatory sector).
* Excellent organisational and data management skills. Ability to effectively use and develop business tools within Microsoft Office, especially Excel and information databases.
* An aptitude for data processing (technical / business information), including accounting transactions.
* Familiarity with chemical Safety Data Sheets and EU/UK chemical regulations a distinct advantage, of particular interest is experience of the REACH "Only Representative" role.
* Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (verbal / written), in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment.
* Confident in engaging with internal & external stakeholders in support of project management and technical communications.
* Mathematics for scientific applications, GCSE Grade B min .
* Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office, Subscription Database Services).
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The role of Technical Admin Specialist will involve close liaison with Project Managers, the Clients and data holders to gather and disseminate substance data, update databases and spreadsheets, maintain Client records, co-ordinate Client invoicing, request and archive Client Safety Data Sheets and issue responses to Client and Client 'Downstream User' inquiries.
Key activities:
* Working alongside the Project Managers, apply in a safe, legal, and ethical manner, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to support global chemicals management compliance projects.
* Work to deliver global 'Representation' services to Clients according to compliance obligations with regard to gathering, communicating and maintaining information and data. Execute processes for annual / monthly accounting transactions (e.g. Invoicing and WIP / Accrual tracking), for the 'Representation' business.
* Manage workload with minimal supervision to agreed delivery targets (do the right thing, with precision, pace and passion). Monitor and maintain expert knowledge of applicable chemicals management regulations for those jurisdictions where Assuris is active.
* Contribute to the overall performance of HERS through the embodiment of team values. Support local and global colleagues with respect to knowledge sharing and skills development.
* Develop and maintain professional contact with Clients. Organize project tel. conf. / MS Teams meetings as required. Participate in Client face-to-face meetings to develop Client relationships and progress projects.
* Apply skills, knowledge, experience, available tools and teamwork to create and exploit new opportunities to grow a sustainable business.
