Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Safety Officer/Manager in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
* Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Provide support in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
* Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is used properly.
* Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for employees and contractors.
* Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions for audit purposes.
* Participate in incident investigations and assist in preparing detailed reports.
* Monitor emergency response procedures and ensure readiness in case of emergencies.
* Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.
* Assist in the preparation of safety documents and reports, including risk assessments and safety manuals.

Essential Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Certification in safety practices such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent is mandatory.

* Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
* Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver safety training effectively.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify hazards and recommend solutions.
* Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
