Job Title: CAD Technician Location: Worcester Based Salary: To £45K and Benefits A Fantastic Opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to assist the Head of Professional Services and CAD Manager in the delivery of Drainage and Civil Engineering projects for a variety of clients including those in the rail, commercial and residential sectors. You’ll undertake mainly office-based works as necessary and will be expected to have a proactive approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams and projects and working/liaising with third parties. You won’t just be joining one business; you’ll be part of a group that can offer you variety and development for the whole of your career What’s the role: Experience in preparation of mainly 2D and some 3D CAD drawings from designs of drainage systems prepared by Engineers which will include Plans, Long Sections, Construction Details etc. A good knowledge of Bentley MicroStation is required, and a knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial. Some knowledge of other software packages such as Civils3D would be also be of benefit. Ideally have some knowledge of Network Rail, TfL CAD standards. A proactive approach to the development and implementation of new technologies. What you’ll need: Minimum three years relevant experience in a design office environment. Experience working in the rail environment. A good knowledge of Bentley MicroStation is required, and a knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial.
