About the role As a Senior .NET Engineer you'll take on a technical team leader role within our development team. We offer hybrid working, so you can spend some of your time working from home but also have 1-2 days per week working closely with your colleagues across the Moorepay business in our Swinton office. You'll be working with the Microsoft .NET suite of products and Azure cloud-based technologies. With your passion for technology, you'll be key to the development of our current and future cloud-based products to make a real impact for our customers. We're looking for a driven self-starter who wants to lead a team as well as still get their hands dirty on a daily basis. Sounds good? Here's what you'll be doing: Working with our UK engineering and product teams, as well as our remote teams, to develop world-class solutions to amaze our customers. Completing POCs and spikes to identify ways we can improve our products and utilise new technologies. Designing and maintaining new features and services based on business needs. Developing rich web and mobile applications across a wide range of browsers. Making sure a solution is high quality by writing comprehensive unit tests for key areas of work. Communicating new ideas, designs and achievements. Overseeing and supporting remote Engineers to adopt best working practices. Exploring and maximising AI technologies to accelerate delivery and quality. Our languages : C# / Typescript / VUE3 / REACT Native. Our stack: .NET / Azure / IBM / RPG IV. Our databases : Azure SQL / Graph QL / IBM DB2. Our tooling: Visual Studio 2022 / Bootstrap / jQuery. Our platforms: Azure / Proprietary. Skills & experience We'd love it if you have: Demonstrable experience as a .NET Engineer, with a desire to progress your career and expand your skillset. Knowledge of Azure and micro-services architecture. Awareness of Agile software practices, including use of Azure DevOps. A sound understanding of web security and common attacks (SQL Injection, CSRF, XSS, etc), as well as how to defend against them. Knowledge of web frameworks, including Bootstrap, jQuery, VUE3 and ASP.NET Core. Experience working with HR and Payroll software and products (or related industry experience).
