Innovation: They design and manufacture our own traffic control equipment and technology at their state-of-the-art facility in Poole, Dorset.
• You’ll support the management team and the wider HSQE team both locally and nationally, ensuring that health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met and exceeded.
You will ideally be located in the Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle Region and able to travel within Northern England and Scotland and possibly the occasional visit to Belfast!
You will report in to the Group Head of H&S – you will be treated with respect and as an adult and will be trusted to get on with the job. You will have autonomy to organise your own diary and will be required to get to all depots in the region 1 or 2 times per month so travel is essential and you have to be prepared to do that. You will be supporting the Project Delivery Teams during their briefings from a H&S standpoint and must be on site and / or online to be able to do that. In reality you will be based from a regional depot / home 2 days per weeks and travelling around the region the remainder of the time.
• Travel: Regular travel across the region with occasional overnight stays
Risk Management: Support and facilitate effective and proportionate management of HSQE across the North Region.
• Relationship Building: Develop positive and proactive business relationships with all stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice, coaching, training, and support delivery of risk management programs.
• Monitor and improve implementation of risk assessments, work instructions, and KPIs.
• Incident Management: Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Compliance: Assist in maintaining ISO and FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) accreditation and support internal and external audits.
