Who We're Looking For We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated professional with experience working in child and adolescent mental health or eating disorder services. You should be confident in providing assessment, intervention, and support within a multi-disciplinary team, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and person-centred care. Main duties of the job As a key member of our CAMHS Eating Disorder Service, you will: Provide expert assessment, treatment, consultation, and guidance to young people referred to the service, ensuring they receive compassionate, effective, and individualised care. Work collaboratively with young people, families, and carers, ensuring they are fully supported, informed, and engaged throughout the treatment process. Support paediatric wards and medical teams in managing young people with acute physical health needs associated with eating disorders. Deliver evidence-based interventions that empower young people to regain control over their health and well-being, fostering resilience and sustainable recovery. Contribute to the ongoing development of care pathways, helping to improve service delivery and ensure best practice across the team. Play an active role in clinical leadership, supervising and supporting other team members as agreed with the Team Manager. Liaise with a wide range of agencies, including schools, GPs, social care teams, and voluntary organisations, to ensure a joined-up approach to care Positively manage risk, using a collaborative and recovery-focused approach to promote safe and effective treatment.
