Our Education Centre in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Teacher to deliver high quality teaching and learning, and as part of the Work Ready Programme or as required by externally funded programmes, as well as lead on the Induction of learners on to a range of programmes in the centre, including Study Programmes for 16-18 year olds. What will I be doing as a Teacher of Get Set for Work? Duties include (but are not limited to): Manage the delivery, quality and performance of Nacro’s Work Ready route, externally funded programmes, and /or Induction programme within the centre, developing and sharing best practice across Nacro education Deliver outstanding teaching and learning on Nacro’s programmes to wide range of learners including predominantly those learners on Study Programme’s, 16–18-year-olds, EHCP. Conduct initial assessments for all learners enrolled onto Nacro Education programmes ensuring that the needs of learners are met and that learners are enrolled onto the correct programme of study to support achievement and progression and build on prior attainment. Design, plan and deliver the curriculum in line with the education Inspection framework (EIF), awarding body standards and Nacro curriculum guidance and quality standards. Work closely with external partners and referrers to ensure learners are referred onto the programme of study that meets their needs and future aspirations. Develop appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environment to support high quality teaching and learning, prepare learners for the world of work/further study, and contribute to wider good practice in team/directorate. Identify and support work placements for learners in industry specialism using guidance, and ensure learning is recorded and reflected in work-placement journals and ILPs.
