Job Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project in central Birmingham and 'earn as you learn'.The job is primarily to support with project wide administration including support for H&S, new starters, training, communications, community engagement and all aspects of the processes associated. Key Responsibilities: Update H&S Boards and posters at the J.V. Office. Assist with the admin of wellbeing events. Prepare some statistics (charts/ graphs) from H&S trackers. Help with preparing the period reports/stats. Take part in and assist with community engagement days for schools where appropriate. Drafting project communications. Training, HR & General Admin: Assist in all aspects of the training department to ensure quality, timely and compliant production of documentation, filing and administration. Do Right to Work of candidates who are going to be hired. Manage the induction process for all new starters. Maintain records of training, competence and inductions as required. Cover reception duties when needed. Use a range of IT applications, systems and processes. Book external training courses in a timely manner. Organise project based training & obtain feedback in a timely manner, then distribute this to back to HR Branch. Book meeting rooms. Qualifications, Certifications and Experience: Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths. Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages including excel. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely. Excellent interpersonal skills
