As the Head of Medical you will be leading the Medical organization for Vaccines in the UK&IE MCO. Scope may include also Switzerland for business related reasons.
The Head of Medical MCOs will report into the Medical Key Markets Head, and will be member of the KM Medical Leadership Team.
As the UKIE Medical Head you will be a true business partner offering valuable medical expertise in a compliant and ethical way; you will contribute to the strategic objectives of Sanofi Pasteur by managing the medical organization in UK and Ireland in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulations.

Main responsibilities:
1. You will define and drive the overall medical strategy in the MCO, in alignment with the business strategy.
2. You will foster people engagement, and continuously develop team, talents, and capabilities.
3. You will be accountable for medical plans, resource allocation, and medical performance in the MCO.
4. You will support the efficient growth acceleration as per global franchises guidance.
5. You will drive innovative solutions/models answering specific patient needs, pioneer new operating models and ways of working in the MCO.
6. You will foster learning and encourage thoughtful risk taking within the MCO teams by sharing best practices and innovative initiatives.
7. You will build synergies and continue to challenge low impact activities across the MCO medical perimeter to improve efficiencies.
8. You will lead and give strategic direction to the MCOs Medical teams.
9. You will be a role model and champion Play-to-Win behaviours, corporate commitments, and compliance guidelines.
10. As a Country Medical Lead for MCO/anchor (CML), you will be the Sanofi medical interface, both externally and internally, for non-GBU specific topics. This includes (not exhaustive):Unified medical voice for medical/scientific external for non-BU specific topics at country/MCO level in alignment with Country Lead and Public Affairs.Representation of Sanofi in medical committees of country pharmaceutical associations.Chairs the country/MCO MRPQ (GxP-) council and adhoc committees.Ensures cross-GBU consistent medical understanding of Sanofi policies and SOPs with special focus on HCP interaction governance.Supports all functions to ensure audit readiness and CAPA implementation with respect to cross GBU medical topics.Ensures cross-GBU medical talent review.
11. You have a scientific background: i.e. Medical Degree, PhD, PharmD (MD highly preferred). Board certification is an advantage.
12. You have a significant experience in leadership in medical affairs (or a combination of business and medical affairs leadership).
13. You have experience in product launches, with great knowledge of access ecosystems.
14. You have experience in leading teams: ability to inspire & engage teams in a diverse and multicultural environment. Used to work with remote teams.
15. You have experience in managing senior stakeholders.
16. You have an innovative mindset and a digital experience with customer facing approach.
17. You have the capacity to challenge the status quo to enhance business efficiency with an entrepreneurial mindset respecting centralised and global approaches.
