About the team - Associate Management
The Pearson Associate Management team is responsible for the operational delivery of our 50,000 strong Associate (examiner) workforce across the suite of general and vocational qualifications. This includes delivering, Forecasting & Planning, Recruitment, Contracting, Payroll and Financial analysis and monitoring to our stakeholders across the business.
Location: This is an office-based role with a requirement to work from our Hellaby (Rotherham) office Monday to Friday.
About the role
Working closely with the wider Associate Management, Assessment, Associate Relations, and Regulation teams, as well as with other stakeholders, the purpose of this role is to ensure that the business is operating in line and compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, whilst building constructive, supportive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning, monitoring, and overseeing the delivery of the capturing of Conflict of Interest Declarations across the associate and contingent workforce.
2. Planning, monitoring, and overseeing the delivery of the capturing evidence of eligibility to work in the UK across the associate and contingent workforce.
3. Oversee and support the quality management process to ensure consistent delivery of standards within our recruitment process.
4. Support the development and implementation of new strategies to deliver high standards and our International Recruitment programmes.
5. Establish and Chair a “Quality Champions” group comprised of stakeholders Associate Management to surface quality and regulatory concerns and devise and implement new strategies and processes to address them.
6. Build collaborative, supportive, and effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
7. Be a champion for quality and compliance across the business and demonstrate a passion for meeting the highest standards.
8. Play a leading role with contract compliance, liaising with the employment and tax law teams to ensure appropriate concern is given to legislation.
9. Represent the Associate Management team on the Contracting Governance Committee to help develop strategies and processes that are applied consistently across the business.
What we are looking for:
1. Project Coordination Experience: Demonstrable experience in a similar role managing large-scale projects, organisational change initiatives, or complex activities.
2. Advanced IT proficiency: with an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for complex data analysis and reporting.
3. Data Management Expertise: Skilled in organising, analysing, and manipulating large datasets to extract actionable insights.
4. Exceptional Communication: Excels in both written and verbal communication, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
5. Effective Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and driving consensus where required.
6. Collaborative Team Player: Adept at fostering teamwork, coordinating cross-functional activities, and achieving shared objectives constructively and efficiently.
7. Sound Decision-Making: Exhibits sound judgment and strategic thinking in resolving challenges and making informed decisions.
8. Proven Accountability: Takes ownership of responsibilities, ensuring high-quality outcomes and delivering on commitments reliably.
9. A good understanding of the education system in the UK.
10. Experience working in a regulated environment (Ofqual).
11. Experience working in a Quality Management/compliance role.
