Kinetic Academy is an independent special educational needs school. We provide education for pupils in the age range 9-16 who have a range of SEN needs including ASD, Speech, Language & communication Needs and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
We highly value all of our students and create a positive, safe and secure environment for them to learn. We are immediately seeking experienced Class teachers who have a passion, commitment and talent for working with young people.
The successful person in the role of a KS2/KS3 Class Teacher will: -
* Take a lead in overseeing accredited pathways and assessment throughout the centre for all students.
* To teach an agreed timetable which consists of a range of subject and Functional Skills (Maths, English and Science). Teaching students in both small groups and a 1-1 basis.
* To maintain high standards of teaching and learning as specified within Kinetic Academy’s Framework for Teaching and learning and in line with the Framework for Quality of Education.
* Ensure that all students are motivated and engaged with their learning, finding creative opportunities for students to grow and develop in line with the principles and values upheld here at Kinetic.
* Ensure that Assessment for Learning is integrated into the learning environment and clearly embedded within Teaching and Learning across the Centre; accordance with the Kinetic Assessment Framework policy.
Carry out the Learning Group Form Tutor role which includes: -
* tracking all students for subjects taught
* tracking assessments for students
* target setting and reviews for all students
* producing reports for the group
* liaison with other agencies/parents & carers
* managing behavior's in accordance with our policy
* to play a pivotal role in assisting the SENCO to ensure that SEN needs throughout the centre are met and to support the ongoing development of building effective SEN provision within Kinetic Academy.
* work within a team to provide an engaging and supportive learning environment conducive to learning.
* to provide effective guidance to support staff during lessons and to deploy support as per student needs
