We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our Employee Relations (ER) team. Our Employee Relations service is designed to support the Trust's strategic objectives. It is our ambition to be recognised as a great place to work and be the local employer of choice. We want our staff to be empowered and at the centre of decision-making; we are developing a culture which generates a sense of ownership. Thus, we are seeking a knowledgeable, committed, and proactive ER specialist to play a pivotal role in the development of our ER service.
You will have demonstrable leadership skills to lead a team of HR Advisors, including a Senior HR Advisor, and ensure a timely, solution-focused service to all levels of staff and managers. You will have extensive experience providing both strategic and operational resolutions for complex employee relations issues with excellent management, persuasion, and negotiation skills, and a flexible approach to work. You will have a current knowledge of Employment Law and competency in its application in terms of policy and practice.
Main duties of the job
Our wider workforce team includes Business Partnering, Resourcing, Organisational and Learning Development, Medical Staffing, Payroll, and Workforce Information functions. To be successful in this post, you will need to be a team player and be able to work collaboratively, building strong working relationships with colleagues within the Workforce Directorate, across the Trust, and with external partners. Also fundamental to this role is the regular review of ER policies for legal compliance and validity.
If successful, you will be supported in your career development and will also have access to the training and development opportunities offered by HPMA London Academy.
