Contract: Full Time / Permanent - Monday to Thursday, 08:30am – 5pm & Friday, 08:30 – 13:30 (35 hours p/w). Given this is a leadership role, travel will be expected on a regular basis.

What the opportunity looks like:
Reporting To: Chief Marketing Officer.
Direct Reports: Creative Director, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Global Consumer Media Controller plus a team of 9.
The Marketing Director for The Dalmore will lead a dynamic team based in Glasgow City Centre, with the distillery located in Invergordon. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across the UK and globally.
While the role is based in Glasgow, we offer flexibility and are open for remote work or for the role to be based at our London hub. However, if you are located outside Scotland, you will be required to spend significant time in Scotland during the induction period to build relationships and understand the role. We will then agree on a flexible home working arrangement, with regular travel to Scotland to stay connected with the team and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
The Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the 3 year brand growth strategy and the setting of Leadership Team Strategy with the Creative Director and Chief Marketing Officer. The Marketing Director will lead on all aspects of global brand activation, campaign planning and delivery, consumer recruitment, new product implementation and launching. They will be the key point of connection with the markets and will drive the annual brand planning process. They will lead on fiscal brand health as well as equity and drive an ethos of excellence in execution across global campaigns. They will play a pivotal role in the development of brand Consumer Relationship Management, Data, Direct to Consumer and integrated digital marketing ensuring consistency of discovery and experience across all touchpoints. They will work with the Creative Director to ensure that global brand ideation is relevant, fit for purpose and drives both rational and irrational desire in the worlds of whisky and luxury.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide motivation and direction to the team by encouraging and supporting the achievement of goals through coaching, feedback, recognition and role model the right behaviours aligned to our values.
* Develop 3 year ambition & growth plans, with key milestones, which engage and inspire the organisation and then actively agitate for and drive behaviours across all key functions, to ensure these milestones are met & acted upon.
* Engage and challenge the Regional Directors and Commercial Finance contacts to ensure that the 3 year plan reflects the key tenets of the Leadership Team growth plans.
* Influence the rolling 5 year plan process to ensure it reflects the milestones and levers for growth defined in the 10 year ambition.
* Establish distinctive brand strategies and execution guidelines which build standout in the worlds of luxury and whisky against clearly defined competitive sets and target consumers.
* Drive a culture of best in class creative development, creation + execution with a fastidious eye for detail across all aspects of the mix.
* Demonstrate accountability as a leader/manager, a passion for diversity and inclusion and support team wellbeing in all aspects of the role and teams.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
* Demonstrable experience of effectively leading a team at a senior level.
* Previous experience of building and driving a luxury brand.
* Demonstrable experience influencing stakeholders directly (internal) and indirectly (external third party distributors) to ensure strategy turns into plans that turns into execution.
* Proven track record of leading change across a brand and organisation.
* Commercially astute with a keen eye on the numbers and interrogating ROI.
* “We can if” strategic thinker who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and prove their own point.
