Job Description:
Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Finance Manager to join us as part of our @one Alliance.
What will you be doing as our new Finance Manager?
You will be responsible for the provision and interpretation of financial and management information to support and inform the @one alliance in the day-to-day management of the business. You’ll undertake all aspects of project financial management and control, including reporting and producing monthly performance packs in accordance with the alliance’s financial governance.
You will be part of the @one Senior leadership team, providing frontline financial support for the wider Alliance delivery routes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Month end project analysis, forecasting accuracy, performance metrics and analysis into the Risk and Opportunity schedule.
2. Ensure robust Financial Governance is in place, lead the @one Alliance self-assurance governance and processes.
3. Compliance to financial controls – completing reviews of accruals at month end.
4. Provide support and training to non-financial members of the alliance.
5. Cost Management: Provide accurate cost reporting across the alliance.
6. Develop cost reporting and cost data analytics to help understand and drive cost base reductions.
7. Transformation: Continuous improvement in report to include continued development of automated reporting.
8. Develop and deliver white book savings to deliver shareholder expectations.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…
To deliver on the requirements of the job you will need to hold a professional Finance qualification (such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and have solid demonstrable experience in a commercial or management accounting role. Experience of working in the Utilities industry and/or contract accounting would be advantageous. Financial modelling skills, experience with SAP (ideally) and a detailed understanding of financial forecasting is essential.
You’ll be flexible, able to manage pressure, adapt at meeting strict deadlines and can challenge operational management at all levels. You have rounded people management experience, are innovative and most of all a team player!
