Job Title: Snr Product Clearance Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
* Support Qualification & Clearance activities across multiple contracts including the qualification of Avionics Systems design changes
* Collaborate with Safety, System Problem Reports and Test Requirements teams to release capability in line with programme demands
* Operate with autonomy as a senior engineer while assisting the Team Leader with team responsibilities and coaching junior team members
* Generate Clearance documentation and assess certification evidence and shortfalls including their impact
* Present certification for sign-off while identifying and tracking dependencies and coordinating with external teams for required inputs
* Assess traceability of Clearance evidence and support wider programme reviews
Your skills and experience:
* Knowledge of the Typhoon platform highly desirable or strong understanding of Avionics systems
* Experience with the qualification and certification process
* Familiarity with Jira Agile project management tool
* Ability to work to agreed timescales with an understanding of configuration control
* Excellent communicator with a STEM degree or relevant experience and qualifications showing integrity under delivery pressure
* Structured approach to problem solving with ability to self-manage workload

The AJT Systems Engineering Team:
The role sits within the AJT Systems Engineering Team, part of the wider Typhoon Avionics Systems function. This area comprises several multi-discipline teams, supporting both current and future projects for the Eurofighter Typhoon, working closely with our Customers and Partner Nations.
The Avionics Joint Team (AJT) is a multi-national, collaborative group responsible for Avionics Systems Architecture, Design, and Qualification. Within the AJT, each sub-team operates across different phases of the engineering lifecycle. The team you’ll join directly contributes to the delivery of key platform capabilities to both Core Nations and Export Customers.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers within the Product Clearance Team, whose primary responsibility is the Qualification and Certification of strategic Avionics deliverables. This work ensures that the Eurofighter Typhoon continues to operate safely and effectively across the globe.
