Job Title: Production Operative
Reporting To: Production Supervisor
Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
Location: Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim
Purpose:

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative to join our Operations team. As part of our production team, you will have the responsibility of operating production machinery to produce a range of products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues.
2. Ensure compliance with company policies; Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and FEMAS management systems.
3. Operating automatic machinery to produce products in line with production targets whilst ensuring all standards are achieved.
4. Assist with improvements and efficiencies in all production aspects.
5. Responsible for material waste management.
6. Ensure that machinery is in a safe and satisfactory working manner before use by conducting regular pre-production checks.
7. Responsible for reporting any machine faults to supervisor or maintenance team.
8. Ensure effective housekeeping in accordance with company procedures.
9. Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and maintained.
10. Maintain files and records and provide quick accurate information when required.
11. Ensure good relations and communications with all members and non-members of the team, providing excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
12. Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues to ensure a 'one team approach' to deliver the company's performance standards and the business objectives.
13. Undertake duties considered by the company as within the competence of the role.
Criteria
Essential
1. Education: GCSE qualification in Maths & English minimum Grade C or equivalent.
2. Experience: 1 years proven experience operating automatic processing machinery.
3. Skills and Competences: Fork-truck licence, Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Circumstances: The shift pattern for these roles are as followed: 2-week rotating shifts (1 Week days, 1 Week evening) and permanent days.
Desirable
1. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
2. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
3. Experience with Heavy plant machinery such as Rigid Dumper, Articulated Dumper and Shovel.
4. Experience of working to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001.
5. Working within the Quarrying / Milling industry.
6. Forklift truck experience.
