What you'll do: You will deputise for the Chief Nurse in all areas of the role, including at the Trust Board. You will champion and support the development and delivery of the Nursing and Midwifery Strategy, ensuring high-quality patient care and experience. You will provide over-arching professional leadership support to the clinical workforce. You will be passionate about collaboration and working in partnership with local and national partners to implement quality & safety programmes and initiatives. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the development and delivery of the Trust's Quality agenda to continuously improve quality and safety.
What we're looking for: You will be educated to master level or equivalent experience with NMC registered Nurse or Midwife and evidence of further specialist leadership and management training. You will bring a track record of senior nurse management and leadership roles, including substantial recent experience in an acute setting. You will have a clear understanding of transformation programmes, service development and improvement, together with a solid understanding of the complexity of service delivery in a large organisation. You will demonstrate experience in successfully managing budgets and delivery of productivity and efficiency programmes, together with a track record of leading change through people, by effective and engaging leadership. You will have joint responsibility with the other Divisional Directors and Executive Team for driving forward corporate and cross-cutting programmes of work and service direction. You will have a collaborative and collegiate external focus to facilitate greater working across the healthcare community. You will be able to demonstrate and live our UHS Values and share our vision and direction for our Trust in a spirit of collaboration and compassion.
