NKT in the UK is growing and is now looking for an experienced Snr QHSE Advisor to oversee our Health & Safety function. You will also be responsible to oversee quality testing laboratory related activities, ensuring compliance to internal and external industry standards within the scope of HSEQ, supporting continuous improvements to workplace practices.
Based at the site in Runcorn your responsibility covers local QHSE activities. You will be proactive, self-motivated working independently as well as in a team. You will also be responsible for the overall development and implementation of QHSE strategies which will enable the business to deliver on key objectives.

Role & Responsibilities:
1. Manage the testing laboratory team and work closely with Group functions (e.g. H&S, Sustainability, Quality).
2. Control and oversee the testing of existing and new products as well as raw materials to our quality plans.
3. Undertake safety and quality audits in line with industry relevant standards.
4. Ensure up to date system reporting in line with British Standards system.
5. Analyse, report and investigate non-conforming material reports.
6. Oversee any product quality investigations as a result of client feedback.
7. Oversee and be responsible for sustainability reporting.
8. Responsible for accident or incident investigation and root cause analysis.
9. Manage the calibration scheme, reviewing regular reports/analysis and audits of equipment as well as liaising with suppliers and calibration houses to plan calibration/validation visits.
10. Drive H&S cultural change and behaviour-based safety.
11. Provide first class technical support, helping customer and internal technical enquiries.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* In-depth knowledge of ISO Standards, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
* Desired understanding of BASEC, LPBC, BS & EU regarding cable manufacturing.
* Ideally qualified Degree/diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety Management (NEBOSH, NVQ 5, NCRQ Level 6).
* Hold IOSH Membership.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety Management.
* Confident communicator with the ability to successfully collaborate across large audiences.
* Proficient in the English language and Microsoft Office.
