Key Responsibilities:
* Advising on Property Law & Transactions - Advise on land acquisition, leases, wayleaves, easements, and project financing for energy and infrastructure developments.
* Project Support & Risk Management - Collaborate with developers, investors, and public authorities to ensure compliance with Scottish property law and mitigate risks.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Client Relations - Develop strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry bodies, providing strategic guidance on complex projects.
* Business Development & Market Growth - Support tenders, proposals, and marketing efforts to expand the firm's energy and infrastructure practice.
* Collaboration & Team Leadership - Work cross-functionally with planning, corporate, and environmental teams while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to knowledge-sharing.
Requirements:
* Scottish-qualified lawyer with extensive experience in real estate/property law, ideally within energy or infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in land acquisition, leases, wayleaves, easements, and property transactions for renewable energy and major infrastructure projects.
* Commercially minded and client-focused, with a strong track record in business development and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and risk management skills, with the ability to handle complex, high-value transactions.
* Team player and leader, capable of mentoring junior lawyers, collaborating across departments, and contributing to the firm's strategic growth.
