Summary
Advanced Engineering Apprenticeships normally last 4 yrs during which time you will attend our NWTC Training Centre on block release followed by day release for training and further eductaion. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer, training in Engineering.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Carrying out checks and maintenance as outlined within the PPM (Planned, Preventative Maintenance) scheme
* Fault diagnosis and repair on engineering systems
* Use internal PC based system to ensure faults and repairs are logged, and then detailed descriptions are added upon completion of the required work
* Work to understand and implement Business Improvement Techniques
* Work cohesively with the engineering team.
* Providing predictive, preventative & corrective support & maintenance for production equipment.
* Carry out reasonable instructions from Lead Engineers or Senior Managers.
* Involvement in multi-skilling (cross discipline) duties as appropriate.
* Ensure all Health, Safety & environmental standards are maintained and that you show due diligence at all times.
* Comply with all Company policies & procedures e.g. health & safety, training & development, quality, disciplinary, grievance, sickness & absence.
* Preserve and promote at all times the Company's good name and reputation, conducting internal & external relations with honesty and integrity and encourage the development of an appropriate culture that will deliver results and manage changes in line with Company and business areas objectives.

* Level III in Engineering Technician Mechatronics at North West Training Council, Liverpool
* Block release for 42 weeks, remainder spent with employer.
* A Technical training assessor will support you throughout your apprenticeship
* NWTC in Liverpool will deliver your training and monitor your Apprenticeship on a regular basis to ensure you achieve the standards required including, core skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours in preparation for gateway / End Point Assessment.
