Lead Full Stack Application Developer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this role, which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.
Hybrid Working: This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.
As a Lead Full Stack Application Developer, you will:
* Advocate for and employ good development practices on the team such as consistent branching strategy, coding standards, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing.
* Manage the integration of application development across various full stack technologies, including Power Platform, Messaging services, Rabbit MQ, API, Kafka live streaming or similar.
* Manage the integration of application with high availability analytics and business intelligent products, ALM tooling’s, application monitoring systems.
* Implement standards and best practices, mentor junior developers, and execute development activities in line with the overall delivery plan.
* Guide the team through technical challenges and ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
* Define technical requirements, design and develop scalable applications, and stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
* Strong experience in Java/Scala and Web Front end frameworks.
* Proven background in working with Azure and other cloud platforms, with a focus on Web application development.
* Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL or relational DB.
* Knowledge in microservices development and various integration patterns.
* Knowledge in event driven development and batch processing.
* Knowledge in ALM integrations, analytics & business intelligence integrations.
* Ability to mentor and develop junior developers.
* Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in application development across full stack technologies including integrations with Power Platform, Messaging services, Rabbit MQ, API, Kafka live streaming or similar.
* Knowledge in application deployments & monitoring.
