We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Bangor, North Wales. In this role, you will lead and manage a diverse range of projects, including domestic alterations, extensions, and bespoke commercial structural engineering developments. From conception to completion, you will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers flexibility to work either solely from our offices, located in stunning parkland near the shores of the Menai Strait, or in a hybrid arrangement combining home and office work.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Perform structural design calculations for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry following British Standards/Euro Codes.
* Adhere to internal QMS procedures ensuring compliance with internal design checking protocols.
* Coordinate with professionals and contractors, manage time for timely project delivery.
* Work independently on smaller projects or as part of a team on larger schemes.
* Ensure commercial delivery of projects, meeting deadlines and budgets.
* Collaborate with other Egniol Consulting offices and disciplines.
* Supervise trial hole investigations for refurbishment projects and undertake visual structural inspections.
* Mentor Junior Engineers.
* Liaise with Clients and design team members to meet client briefs, attending meetings as required.
* Engage in business development activities.
* Contribute to fee proposals and Tender submissions.
* Assist in project management, ensuring commercial delivery, and meeting timescales and budgets.
Role Requirements
* Solid knowledge of all relevant British Standards and Design Codes.
* Ability to produce designs underpinned by strong engineering principles.
* Proficient in technical design packages such as Tekla, CADS, and Tedds.
* Proficient in AutoCAD would be a bonus.
* Possess a full driving licence and have access to a car for business use.
Qualifications
Preferred
* Completion of Degree in relevant Engineering subject.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working in similar engineering consultancy.
* Working towards and close to achieving membership of relevant Professional Institution (e.g., Chartered Member of ICE or IStructE).
