Southend City Council are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Strategic Commissioning Data Officer. Within this position, hybrid working opportunities are available. However, you are required to be on-site at the Civic Centre a minimum of 2 days a week. This role is focussed on data and research, which is a vital part of any commissioning function. The council are looking for someone who has an analytic mindset and are able to help to use the data that they have available to inform future commissioning intentions. The role exists to transform and modernise care and support in Southend. You will provide commissioning and project support to specific commissioning work-streams. To be successful in this position, you must have previous experience as a commissioning officer, with knowledge of current national social care policies and an understanding of current NHS national, regional and local priorities. You will need to be able to analyse, interpret and assess data and have excellent IT skills, covering various applications. You will need prior knowledge of LAS and ContrOCC.
