We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school rated Good by Ofsted in the Coventry area.
This is a part-time role, working five mornings a week, starting after half-term. The position offers a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with a child in KS1 who has special educational needs, particularly focusing on autism and non-verbal communication needs. If you have previous experience in a UK primary school and are passionate about providing tailored support to individual students, this SEN Teaching Assistant position could be perfect for you.
This role is due to start after the February half term and carry on until the end of the academic year.
This SEND Teaching Assistant Job Role:
Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
Working with pupils in Key Stage 1 to promote their learning and development.
Providing one-to-one or group support to a pupil with SEN.
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson planning.
Helping maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive school day.
Delivering interventions in the schools' resource base.
Required Skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School.
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, teaching assistance, or equivalent.
A solid understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Strong experience with Challenging behaviour
Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant with Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including:
£85.02 to £95 per day, which equates to £16,578.90 to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
