THE JOB
Established for over 20 years, a renowned family business who are suppliers of commercial and industrial laundry equipment, are seeking a Field Engineer to join their team. As a service & installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing commercial & industrial laundry equipment at customer locations, minimising downtime and providing exceptional customer service.
Your Responsibilities
1. Install, commission, and test commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer sites.
2. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment breakdowns.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, both mechanical and electrical, and perform necessary repairs.
4. Replace faulty components, such as motors, pumps, valves, and control panels, as needed.
5. Calibrate and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate operation and efficient performance.
6. Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts used, and hours worked.
7. Provide technical support and assistance to customers, answering their questions and guiding them on equipment operation and maintenance.
8. Collaborate with other team members, including sales and customer service, to provide a seamless customer experience.
Your Experience
Training will be provided to those who have:
1. Field Service Engineer or Installation Engineer experience.
2. Electrical single & three-phase knowledge.
3. Able to use a multi-meter & read schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.
4. Mechanical or Gas Engineer experience an advantage.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and customer focused.
6. Strong organisational and time management skills.
7. Full UK Driver's licence and able to travel to customer sites across the UK.
8. Advantage - commercial equipment or industrial laundry experience.
Hours & Remuneration
37hrs week - early finish Friday!
Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and early finish Friday 8am - 1pm
From £35,000 basic (to £40,000 if ACS Gas certified)
Overtime payments
Gas training provided if not Gas qualified
30 days holiday (inc stats)
Company vehicle, tools, uniform, etc.
Occasional overnight stays including around the United Kingdom and Europe.
