An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Change Manager with Business Analysis skills to join AWPs Information Technology Department. As part of the Community Mental Health Framework and Clinical Digitisation Programmes, we are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to support a variety of work packages. You will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, analysing, developing and delivering specific project related documentation and activities related to the programmes of work. You will be an experienced individual who will work with our technical, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to deliver change in Rio, our current EPR and implement the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). As an IT Change Manager your approach shall be flexible and innovative. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. The candidate should be able to present information to a range of stakeholders in a variety of formats depending on the situation. It is possible this role may extend beyond August 2025, if funding is confirmed. We are currently working from home, there is a requirement to be able to attend AWP sites for workshops and where a task is better completed face to face. Main duties of the job You will need to understand the end-to-end implementation of information technology changes, to analyse, document and propose solutions for varied and complex business areas, using a variety of business analysis skills and techniques. This role will best suit an organised individual with a "can do" attitude and excellent problem solving skills with good attention to detail. It is essential that the candidate has good negotiating skills, is a great listener and is skilled at building positive relationships and dealing with any challenges that could arise. Job responsibilities • To manage the end-to-end implementation of allocated information technology changes, to degrees of autonomy agreed with the Senior IT Change Manager (e.g. requirements specification, development, testing etc.) employing a range of business analysis techniquesincluding: Requirements engineering Process modelling Data information flow mapping; Liaising extensively with personnel within the Trust and external suppliers (e.g. NHSConnecting for Health / ESR Team) • To align managed changes with, and to maximise benefits against the Trust Objectives. • Support major change initiatives to maximise organisation benefit, from an efficiency, operational improvement and management information perspective, working closely with project managers and project teams to manage discrete change assignments and contributeto projects managed by others inside and outside of IT. • Actively seek opportunities to improve organisational processes with information technology and contribute these ideas in appropriate forums • To liaise with the Senior IG Manager to ensure that all system developments take place in accordance with Information Governance and Information Security regulations. • Translate requirements into highly specified proposals for organisation approval; • Produce feasibility reports and business cases to support business process solutions • Identify options for potential solutions to service challenges, analysing relevant data and information for both technical and organisation suitability; Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems; • Project manage some allocated changes to completion • To liaise with Learning and Development to ensure the production of relevant and effective training resources and schedules, and to ensure the quality assurance of these. • To support decision making regarding training approach and delivery. This should result in user understanding and full utilisation of the product/process. • Provide the Trust with expertise on organisational processes and structures • Make recommendations to the organisation regarding the acquisition and use of systems • Work closely with suppliers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility of solutions and process success • Ensure that changes undergo robust end-to-end testing for the complete solution, including functional and non-functional (technical and process) aspects. • Oversee the implementation of a new system and process • Plan and work flexibly to a deadline • Participate in research and development as required by the organisation and agreed via line management. Person Specification Education and Qualification Essential • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience Desirable • Business Analysis professional certification, for example - BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis Experience and Knowledge Essential • Demonstrable experience of gathering information using a variety of methods, including interviews; reviewing existing documentation; work flow observation; • Experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation; • Demonstrable experience of presenting changes back into the operational environment and to engage and train managers and users in the new process • Significant experience communicating with people, through the production of newsletters, by phone, e-mail, face to face and presenting to a group • Demonstrable experience of producing documentation for new and existing organisational processes; Desirable • Knowledge of Rio and delivering changes to the system • Experience of delivering change using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) • Experience of working in the NHS Skills and Abilities Essential • Process re-engineering skills • Interpersonal and people handling skills, including general stakeholder management skills • The ability to communicate well with staff at all levels, both orally and in writing • Planning, negotiating and influencing skills to achieve agreed outcomes
