Heriot Brown are working on an incredibly exciting opportunity for a managing counsel to be part of a major infrastructure project at a multinational energy business. This role is all about ensuring the smooth running of a major infrastructure project, where you will be required to maintain legal and regulatory standards, provide accurate guidance and expert advice to stakeholders as well as make decisions that ensure compliance. The role will involve construction and supply chain contracts, managing legal risk, ESG, proactively identify potential disputes, manage external counsel, stakeholder management, support corporate governance matters, oversight of legal budgets, line management of lawyers, paralegals or trainees and a direct report. They are seeking a senior lawyer with at least 10 PQE, and have experience of delivering on and handling complex large scale infrastructure projects. You will be supporting the legal director and head of legal on legal strategy and team development. As well as managing a legal counsel therefore previous management experience is ideal. Knowledge of construction supply chain contracts will be required. Experience of operating in a nuclear environment would be beneficial.
