Job Title: Digital Signage Technician

We are seeking a technically minded Digital Signage Technician to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of digital signage and interactive displays. You will work closely with our Pre-Sales Engineer and various departments to ensure the smooth delivery of our cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Product Knowledge and Innovation
2. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of LamasaTech's hardware and software products
3. Contribute ideas for product improvements and innovations
4. Technical Support and Configuration
5. Configure digital signage systems and kiosks
6. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems when necessary
7. Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals and installation guides
8. Sales Support and Customer Engagement
9. Assist the sales team by providing technical expertise during client meetings and presentations
10. Conduct product demonstrations
11. Participate in the scoping and analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs), offering technical insights and solutions
12. Quality Control and Production Liaison
13. Communicate with production facilities to ensure order accuracy
14. Review and validate technical specifications of orders
15. Conduct quality control checks
16. Order Processing and Customer Communication
17. Prepare detailed technical specifications for operations to accurately process customer orders
18. Keep customers informed about order status and technical details
19. Handle technical escalations when handed over by the Customer Success
20. Project Coordination
21. Assist in coordinating project installations, including scheduling and resource allocation
22. Provide technical support during installations, both remotely and on-site
23. Monitor project timelines and communicate updates
24. Interdepartmental Collaboration
25. Assist with technical aspects of sales proposals and customer inquiries
26. Ensure accurate technical information in promotional materials
27. Liaise with the head of operations to streamline technical processes and improve efficiency
Skills and Experience:
1. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
2. A confident decision-maker
3. Excellent problem-solving skills
4. Confident with technology, AV hardware, and intuitive when learning new software suites
5. Ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience
6. Ability to work under pressure
7. Able to travel nationally on a regular basis to meet with clients and partners
Desirable:
1. Experience of working in a technical environment
2. Experience in carrying out AV hardware installations
3. Experience in carrying out training sessions for internal and external customers
4. Proposal and tender writing experience as well as excellent presentation skills
5. Experience working with kiosks or digital signage
Hours and Location:
The role is 40 hours per week and based at our UK office in Benton, a short distance from the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Office work is required for this role and there will be some national travel.
