We are seeking to appoint a highly effective Curriculum Team Leader (Head of Department) for Science. The newly appointed CTL will oversee a team of subject specialists and two experienced technicians. The department has recently undergone significant investment and modernisation of the specialist teaching rooms.
This position has been assessed as Leadership 7-11 (England and Wales) - £57,831 to £63,815.
This position is available for September 2025, or April 2025 is an option, due to the current postholder being internally promoted.
The Science Department currently offers GCSE AQA Trilogy Science, AQA Separate Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), A level Biology, AQA A Level Physics and Edexcel Chemistry.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who wants to continue to expand a currently popular curriculum area, especially at Key Stage 5.
