The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate qualified & experienced Hearing Care Assistant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping others, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is eager to learn and develop within the audiology field.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing a warm and welcoming reception to patients and visitors.
* Managing appointments, scheduling, and maintaining patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Assisting the audiologist with air-conduction hearing tests and other basic assessments
* Conducting earwax removal through the use of microsuction, irrigation and manual instruments
* Preparing patients for consultations and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
* Providing basic information and guidance to patients on hearing aid care and maintenance.
* Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing stock levels of consumables.
* Maintaining a clean and organised clinic environment.
* Adhering to all clinic policies and procedures.
* Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
About You
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine empathy for others.
* Strong organisational and administrative abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work with a willingness to learn new skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in basic computer skills and comfortable using electronic record systems.
* Previous experience in a healthcare or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* A strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
