My client, a leading housing association based in South London, is seeking a talented Plasterer who can also handle tiling and painting duties. This role is perfect for a multi-skilled plasterer who thrives on variety and enjoys working in the social housing sector. With a competitive salary of £35,000, along with a van and fuel card, this position provides both stability and the chance to work autonomously across multiple locations in South London.
Key Responsibilities:
Plastering: Carrying out high-quality plastering work, including skimming, rendering, patch repairs, and full wall preparations for both void (vacant) and occupied residential properties. You will ensure all finishes are smooth and ready for decoration.
Tiling: Handling floor and wall tiling in kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas, ensuring precise cuts, neat grout lines, and high-quality finishing to provide long-lasting, durable results.
Painting & Decorating: Completing basic painting and decorating tasks, such as preparing surfaces and applying undercoats, gloss, and emulsion, in both interior and exterior spaces.
Customer Service: Interacting professionally and respectfully with tenants and residents while working in occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption and delivering excellent customer service.
Compliance & Safety: Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for both yourself and residents. Completing jobs to the highest standards and within the allocated time frames.
What we're looking for:
Experience: Proven experience as a plasterer, with additional skills in tiling and painting. Prior experience in the social housing sector is a bonus.
Trade Skills: Competence in multi-trade tasks including tiling and decorating, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
Customer-Focused: You'll have excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in occupied homes while maintaining professionalism and respect for tenants.
Self-Motivation: You're a self-starter who can work independently and manage your workload while keeping on top of deadlines.
Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential for this role as you will be provided with a company van and fuel card for your day-to-day duties.
