Mount Road Vets, Gorton, Manchester, North West
Salary

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Mount Road Vets!
You will be joining an experienced team with a high caseload in a well-established and respected veterinary practice in Manchester. We offer either full time or part time depending on your requirements. The practice opens at 10am, helping you avoid rush hour traffic.
Full time is 40 hours a week with no OOH and 1:4 weekends consisting of a Saturday only. Hours are between 10am and 6pm. A collaborative environment is encouraged, with the opportunity to share resources with other local practices, facilitating full continuity of cases. There are sole charge elements to the rota, so you must be comfortable with this.
About Us
Mount Road Vets is a long-established, well-respected first opinion practice in the heart of the community, within 4 miles of lively central Manchester. With a loyal client base, you will have a varied mix of consults and surgery. We have good facilities including a digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab.
We are a small animal practice located centrally in Manchester, based in a terraced building with a very homely feel. We work hard to deliver a service that's the best it can be and that’s affordable for our clients. We are a big part of the community and are very proud of our reputation.
About the Team and Culture
Our team consists of one other vet, one RVN, three VCAs, and a practice manager. Some team members have been with the practice for over 10 years.
We’re located close to the city centre of Manchester, which has a great deal to offer, including shopping, theatres, concert venues, and many great places to eat. Within a short distance, there are also great opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, including parks and canal walks, and it is only a short drive to the Peak District.
The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, competent in all routine surgeries, and have sole charge experience. Team management or leadership experience would be an advantage. You will be an enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and caring individual, interested in promoting and building the practice.
