Key job responsibilities
1. Second-line ownership UK credit compliance, demonstrating customer obsession by providing expert advice on consumer credit regulation (CONC) and maintaining high bar for conduct across the business.
2. Drive innovation in new product launches by diving deep into compliance requirements, ensuring design aligns with customer needs and regulatory expectations.
3. Invent and simplify education and training programs to keep stakeholders current on regulatory expectations, including FCA conduct rules and financial promotions standards.
4. Be the bar raiser for FCA Conduct and Consumer Duty rules, serving as a key point of contact for leadership to seek guidance and constructive challenge.
5. Have backbone; disagree and commit on core compliance policies and processes, ensuring they're integrated into business practices to keep customer outcomes at the forefront of decision-making.
6. Deliver results by leading regulatory reporting efforts, ensuring accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns.
7. Think big and develop a team of regulatory subject matter experts by setting and upholding a high bar for regulatory expertise.
8. Demonstrate ownership in day-to-day compliance activities within AEU UK, taking responsibility for risk materialization and escalations that may lead to non-compliance.
9. Earn trust through regular, data-driven reporting to senior leadership on the compliance status of overall credit propositions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in compliance, audit or risk management.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Subject matter expertise of FCA rule book (including CONC, DISP, SYSC etc.).
* A successful track record of delivering advice at both an operational and strategic level.
* Excellent team player with the ability to work closely with others to deliver results, identify and resolve issues.
* Exceptional communication.
