Requirements:
- - I am looking for someone who has an Apprenticeship, HNC/D or Degree qualification in Construction or Building Services. However, I will also consider other disciplines and experience within the Built Environment, such as Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Building Services, Energy and Sustainability, Construction Development Management, Real Estate Planning, and Master Planning.
- I need a candidate with knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing plant & equipment installations.
- I expect the applicant to have an understanding of managing contractors and ensuring construction Health & Safety in full compliance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.
Responsibilities:
- - In this position, you will contribute to the successful delivery of the design, planning, and construction of various facility projects across our sites.
- You will support our lead project managers through all project phases, adhering to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Plan of Work and ensuring compliance with quality procedures.
- You will have the opportunity to lead small work packages and/or small independent projects.
- Your role will include participating in a diverse internal network of teams and working with external customers.
- You will lead, develop, and motivate assigned staff to ensure they are aware of and capable of meeting their accountabilities.
- You will collaborate with lead project managers to interpret complex customer requirements, assist in preparing designs, implement plans, and manage approvals for specifications and financial business cases.
- You will also engage in procuring and driving multi-discipline professional consultant teams for the development of facilities, including new buildings and major refurbishments.
- You will manage and coordinate onsite contractor activities safely and oversee all installations in line with company, statutory health & safety legislation, building control, and CDM regulations.
- You will work to deliver the best value and customer satisfaction by maintaining relationships with various suppliers and provide budgetary and financial control for your defined work packages, reporting to the lead project manager.
