We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Specialty Doctor or Specialist to join our dynamic Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team, working across three key hospital sites in the Bristol and Weston area.
This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient and theatre settings. You’ll contribute to the management of patients requiring Oncology, Dermatology, and Trauma input, including surgical treatment under both local and general anaesthetic.
Note this is a fixed-term role until August 2025

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing care for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
* Supporting emergency theatre cases and Fast Track (2-week wait) clinics
* Participating in local anaesthetic biopsy lists, with full Consultant support
* Contributing to the triage and management of two-week wait cancer referrals
* Working across Bristol Royal Infirmary, Bristol Dental Hospital, and Weston General Hospital
* Participating in a resident on-call rota (8-week cycle)

Qualifications and Training
* Bachelor of Dental Surgery (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
* Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GDC standards/Good Practice (no unexplained career gaps)
* Full GDC registration
