Job Description:
The Group Reporting Senior Accountant is a key member of a close-knit group finance team. They will play a key role in ensuring financial discipline and accuracy in financial reporting in accordance with IFRS across the Group. They will display an excellent attention to detail, a focus on doing things the right way, and take pride in the quality of their deliverables.
The role is ideal for a qualified accountant with 3-5 years PQE and will present various learning opportunities within a dynamic private equity backed business. Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager and Director of Group Reporting and Financial Control, the role will have a remit to drive improvements and consistency in accounting treatment across a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Review consolidated group results within HFM and ensure accounting policies are applied consistently across the Group.
2. Assist in the preparation of the Group’s annual consolidated financial statements and liaise with the Group auditors.
3. Own complex areas of the Group audit such as impairment and PPAs.
4. Own one of the environment initiatives that are impacting the Group financial statements such as EU ETS/Fuel EU.
5. Support and advise local finance teams with IFRS questions.
6. Preparing and posting group consolidation adjustments.
7. Assist in accounting and due diligence for acquisitions and divestments.
8. Lead process and control improvement initiatives.
9. Be part of the controllership community and own controllership initiatives to improve financial reporting quality.
10. Strong ability to face off against the external auditors (Deloitte) and understand audit queries on consolidated financial statements.

Essential
1. Qualified accountant with strong training, preferably acquired through working at Big 4 firms.
2. Must have left the Big 4/mid tier at Assistant Manager level.
3. 3 - 5 years PQE.
4. Technically proficient with demonstrable knowledge of the latest IFRS.
5. Broad general financial knowledge, possessing familiarity with other financial disciplines (i.e., Treasury, Tax, Business Partnering).
6. Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
7. Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
8. HFM Consolidation and Reporting.
9. Experience in industry, ideally in a Group function of a Plc or Private Equity Environment.
