Overall Position Summaryand Objectives
This position reportsto the Section Chief for The Dietary Behaviours and
Biopsychosocial Section of the TranslationalBiobehavioural and Health Disparities Branch of the NIH ClinicalCentre. Primary responsibilities include data entry management andanalysis for clinical studies looking at the intersection ofnutrition diet and biopsychosocial health.

Statement of Work Details
Collects and analyses data for a variety ofstudies.
* Provide finaldata sets for each project.
* Performstatistical analysis for each project.
* Construct systematic processes for data entry and qualityassurance from project onset through analysis.
* Perform data entry in support of a number of differentsystems and programs both numerical and text format.
* Organize implement maintain and archive data.
* Work with staff to gather and analyse information fromusers primarily principal investigators (PIs) needed for thedevelopment or modification of CRFs and accompanying interfacerelating to data collection storage and access.
* Coordinate and perform data entry.1
* Perform quality checks toensure consistency integrity and robustness of data.
* Provide analysis analytical modelling and/or datavisualization on data sets using relevant data tools.
* Assist in determining variables and data collection forstudy protocol development (ex. literature reviews)
* Provides assistance in data collection at multiplelocations including Clinical Centre community study interventionsite or remote.
* Participates in internal (NIH)or external (nonNIH) trainings as required for new or changingstudy requirements
Organizes data to provide functional reporting.

* Maintain and improve theexisting data pipeline for processing and storing data.
Participates in the development anddesign of databases for tracking and statistical purposes thatincorporate multiple data fields required byscientists.
* Develop andmaintain data management and quality assurance/quality controlprocedures that improve the transparency consistency accuracy andcomparability of data which supports the integrity of research.

* Develop datadictionaries for each database.

* Formulate appropriate data auditing plan and strategy toprovide services to studies that are active and ongoing as requiredto ensure that the quality of the data meets the study goals andquality standards.
* Prepare databases andreports for staff; perform various tracking and analysis of branchdata to include spreadsheet preparation andinterpretation.
* Design develop and maintaindatabases Listservs spreadsheets PowerPoint presentations and othercomputer applications.
* Meet with datacustomers inside and outside the research branch to assess databaserequirements (ex BTRIS for RedCap)
Manages projects and quickly responds toinquiries about status.
* Perform database analysis to look for incomplete dataelements.
* Identify possible trends andpatterns in the data; communicate relevant findings that supportproblem solving and decision making.
* Track andsolve problems during the data entry and QA processes.
* Provide description of procedures used to perform dataquality assurance; update as procedures are developed.
* Provide log and description of projectrelated dataassociated data management problems that were solved and theirresolution.
* Allocate quality assuranceresources to ensure data validity and fidelity.
* Work with database users to identify and resolve cases ofmissing data.
