Reporting directly to the CTO, the Head of Project Finance role is responsible for working closely with the both CTO & CFO to provide accurate and timely financial information to aid with decision making. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Tracking budget and accounting information for each project within the wider business. Working within the Project Team structures to ensure status and feedback to all parties is provided in a timely manner. Reporting of status against targets for all aspects of project spend. Managing investment cash flow and ensuring appropriate treasury control are in place. Financial control of project budgets & Bill of Materials Strategic Planning Researching market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations Conducting risk management analyses to qualify status of costs/ expenditures and their accuracy. Performing investment appraisals and analyses Create a cost culture within the all areas of the business > through collaboration approaches with other depts Design and implement new processes controls as the GMAE area continues to expand Value engineering strategy > finding opportunities – management of team. Reporting and Analysis Preparing financial information and key activity reports to steering committees. Presenting financial information to senior executives Recommending cost reduction strategies and allocating budgets. Control and direct the GMAE resource budget through KPIs People Management Overseeing recruitment, training, mentoring, and development of staff members. Set, support and motivate team members to achieve company, departmental and personal objectives via the company PDP process. Lead project finance and Cost Engineering team to achieve company financial objectives Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor’s degree, or accounting certification preferred e.g. ACA, CIMA or ICAEW or equivalent experience. Strong commercial finance and accounting knowledge to support the company expansion plans. Attention to detail. Ability to build relationships at all levels and manage projects cross functionally. Methodical and accurate. Able to interact with a wide variety of staff and external service providers. The ability to manage a team effectively - SMART framework Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
