This vacancy is part of the Single Corporate Services Division.

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.

Band: NHS Agenda for Change Band 4 - £26,530 to £29,114 & £14,503 - £15,915 per annum pro rata
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week & Part-time 20.5 hours per week

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have undergone a significant transformation. By establishing a Single Corporate Services Division across both Trusts, we aim to streamline processes, enhance employee experiences, and ultimately dedicate more time to patient care.
We are now looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our recruitment processes run smoothly and efficiently, helping us attract and retain talented individuals who align with our Trust’s values.
In this role, you will provide effective and efficient recruitment advice and administrative support to both managers and candidates, all while demonstrating exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include managing job postings, assisting with interview scheduling, and ensuring that all candidate onboarding checks are completed.
Candidates should possess experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide a full recruitment advisory and administration service to managers across the organisation.
* To act as a recruitment account services manager for allocated group to oversee and understand recruitment activity.
* To ensure that key recruitment processes are adhered to and documented.
* To work as a team to ensure that work streams are prioritised effectively ensuring that team objectives are met, and vacancies are filled efficiently.
* Ensuring compliance with the Trusts recruitment process, including NHS Employers guidelines, including application of rights to work, applying for certificates of sponsorship in liaison with the immigration solicitors
* To provide specialist preliminary advice for example where pre-employment checks are unsatisfactory or the withdrawal of an offer is possible for other reasons, providing advice or signposting queries on to Recruitment Advisors as appropriate.
* To ensure that a fully integrated onboarding service is available to all candidates and that the candidates are engaged with at point of application.
* Review recruitment paperwork for compliance with relevant legislation e.g. Equality Act 2010 and provide advice and guidance to managers on necessary amendments required as necessary, escalating issues to the Recruitment Advisor or Recruitment Manager as appropriate.
* Provide robust reporting on vacancy data, coupled with comprehensive analysis of vacancy activity.
* Participate in the effective auditing of recruitment documentation as and when required
* To respond to enquiries from prospective candidates in relation to general terms and conditions enquiries and information relating to the Trust.
* Agree recruitment timetable with appointing managers.
* Produce appointment letters/offers and contracts of employment in accordance with agreed and statutory timescales.
* Administer the end to end recruitment process, including ensuring that all pre-employment checks are completed prior to a candidate commencing employment.
