Job summary The Ross Practice is looking for an HCA to work alongside our existing HCAs and practice nurses. The ideal candidate will apply their clinical knowledge and experience to complete various duties, we can offer training to the appropriate candidate. Main duties of the job Wound care, venepuncture, phlebotomy checks and administering of medicines and vaccines. New patient health checks. Blood pressure/weight/height/BMI checks. Wound dressings and suture and clip removals. Urine testing and analysis and submit samples to the laboratory following the practice protocol. Wound dressings and suture and clip removals. Obtain specimens, ensure their maintenance under correct conditions and dispatch to the appropriate agency. Perform ECGs. Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations.
