Customer Service Operator
£27,000 - £29,000, Henfield, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, Permanent, 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (3 to be retained for Christmas closure), Free parking, Free tea and coffee, Pension.
The Role
We are working with a well-established manufacturer of agricultural machinery to recruit a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Operator. This is a key role within a busy office-based customer support team and will report directly to the Customer Service Manager. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and prompt resolution of enquiries.
* Answer incoming customer calls, emails, and live chat inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
* Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and efficiently
* Provide accurate information about products, services, and company policies
* Process orders, forms, applications, and requests
* Maintain thorough records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
* Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
* Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution
* Stay updated on product knowledge, services, and customer service best practices
* Meet individual and team performance targets
Requirements
Previous experience in a customer service role is highly desirable, particularly in a technical or manufacturing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a calm, solution-focused mindset are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is desirable.
This role could suit someone who has worked as a Sales Order Processor, Sales Administrator, or Customer Service Operator.
